Español II
Students will:
Please Note: ALL students are required to complete one credit of a foreign language in the state of Michigan. It is recommended that students complete two credits of the language if pursuing a post-secondary school degree.
- Build upon the fundamentals of the language that were acquired in Spanish I.
- Express and report orally in the present AND past tenses basic needs, basic courtesies, feelings, emotions, and opinions on topics related to daily activities and basic aspects of the Spanish-speaking cultures.
- Understand and respond to short utterances, commands, and questions referring to basic information on daily activities of the students and people from Spanish-speaking cultures in the present AND past tenses
- Read and understand instructions, menus, maps, directions, standardized messages, newspaper/magazine ads, and brief descriptions related to daily life of students and people in the Spanish-speaking cultures in the present AND past tenses
- Write short paragraphs and essays on autobiographical and cultural information using the present AND past tenses
- Use technology appropriately to learn about Spanish culture and practice vocabulary and/or grammar concepts.
